Hello, this is just a quick post/ update on whats been going on with my blog, i learnt how to make my own blog header and blog button and then i fell in love with a blog The prettiest pastel this blog is run by a girl called Beth who is super lovely, i can't remember how i came across her blog but i did, i left a comment on her post and she emailed me later that day, we started talking because she wanted some help for her blog layout and header, after i made her blog header and helped her go over a few things and chatted we decided since we both love each others blog we should collaborate, which we are now in the process of doing :)
it will be a post on drugstore makeup because we're both still in high school so we don't have alot of high end makeup, it will be posted each Saturday for about 4/5 weeks, and on both blogs.
if you want anymore information, if you would like help on your blog I.e blog header or you would like to collaborate email me at Thegirlinpatternedtights@gmail.com.

DIY: decorated boxes
Firstly i'd like to point out i'm not to great with arty stuff but i though these were cute! now that's been pointed out away we go with the details.
You will need:
any sized box. (mines an old jewelry box)
glitter or paint.
buttons, sequins, gems or stickers.
PVA glue.
1. take your box and remove any thing that is inside it (that holds the jewelry in place if its a box like mine)
2. cover it in glue if you are sprinkling glitter over it like mine or paint your box and wait for your paint/glitter to dry.
3. You can now add buttons, gems, stickers or sequins in any pattern or shape you'd like. (i thought the first initial of my name in buttons looked rather sweet and a few gems at the side)
4. once your box is dry you can use it for whatever you like, mine is used to store little positive notes and when i feel down i can read them :)
this wasn't supposed to be an amazing tutorial, i just thought i'd try something abit more alternative on my blog, any feedback on whether i should do more but with more detail let me know.

Give me moisture!
Moisture heaven, this guys and gals of the blogoshere is my current favorite night cream! i love this because it has a rich thick texture but doesn't feel like your pores can't breath, it has the nicest smell and although the packaging isn't the most glamorous i still quite like it (because it's green and i love green maybe?)
This cream literally makes your skin feel renewed and freshly hydrated unlike some night creams that make your skin feel greasy and heavy. This little wonder is inexpensive and a must have to any skincare fanatic!

7 facts about me
1. My favorite colour is green, i love anything green or flavored like a green thing if that makes sense like apples ect.
2. I adore singer song writer music like ryan o'shaugnessy, janet devlin, lewis watson and my all time love ed sheeran, i don't really have a reason besides that their music levels with everyone no matter who you are and that they all have beautiful voices.
3. I have alot of pet hates of random things such as metal table spoons, i HATE them and i don't have reason for it so yes i mainly eat things that need to be eaten with a spoon with a teaspoon, i also hate feet they creep me out they look like deformed potatoes attached to peoples legs.
5. I love horlicks hot chocolate, tea, coffee and mocha's (made by my boyfriend especially)
6. I love shopping, my favorite shop is TKmaxx its always full of cool amazing things that i don't need necessarily but once I've spotted it i want and need it, i also love looking around in charity shops for little vintage things like books, plates, cups, mugs and cute plush toys anything that adds abit of old to my new.
7. I'm a major science geek, i find things really interesting like the way the world evolved, the death of stars
( i don't mean Micheal Jackson type of stars i mean literal stars in the universe.) anything bioligical or things to do with chemistry or physics i love.

St Ives scrub review!
so i'm obsessed with skincare products because i used to suffer with acne, and now although it's gone i still get 'teenage spots' which i obsess with getting rid of and taking care of my skin.
i have tried many different facial scrubs and i think this one beats all of them to a pulp, it smooths, hydrates and makes my skin super soft, although i haven't saw any major changes with my skin using it only that it removes dead and dry skin and makes my skin feel like a primer would.
it has a sort of medicine like peach scent not a normal fresh peach smell, i'm really bad at describing if you didn't notice already, so basically if you haven't tried this i really suggest you do, and i'll keep you updated on how it works for me.

My Skin Care products
my skin care products i have used this few months
so firstly i used the la roche possay effaclar duo, this product is in the pricey side of things but really is worth it, i find it removes my imperfections very easily only down side is that it dehydrates the skin alot
so firstly i used the la roche possay effaclar duo, this product is in the pricey side of things but really is worth it, i find it removes my imperfections very easily only down side is that it dehydrates the skin alot
Liz earle boost skin tonic again this is slightly on the pricey side of things but if you enjoy looking after your skin it really is worth it, i find this product lightly refreshes my skin without a really oily feel to it, only downside is that i'm running low :)
Nivea regenerating night cream this product really isn't a expensive product but good for the money you pay for it, it has a rich thick creamy formular that rehydrates the skin perfectly
La Roche Possay again a pricey product perfect for if you have really oily imperfect skin, i find this too dehydrates but thats the purpose of it to rid of spots.
Finally Nivea rich mosterising day cream i find this has a really thick consistantcy and hydrates the skin this isn't expensive either so i'd give it ago :)
thats all thanks for reading

this week in photographs!
candles, wintery walks and vintage buys!
This week i reccently bought a skittle-melon berry scented candle. This candle is the yummiest smelling candle i've ever came across, i bought this from poundland, obviously for just a pound.
i then went into a charity shop to look for the wind in the willows book and found a knitted bunny, which i picked up for 20p.
i thought he looked super cute and vintage.
The last thing that went on this week was that it snowed! so me and my mum went for walks and i took some pretty pictures, so thats basically my week in a nutshell.
